Every detail in our facility has been tailored around the comfort and best-interest of the pets in our care.

I know it may seem odd to some to set up all-indoors. If you don't understand the benefits this type of facility can offer to pet owners, the pets in our care, and our community as a whole, it can be hard to wrap your head around this new idea. This being the case, I'd like to explain to you the differences and benefits.

Location: Traditional boarding facilities and daycares require extensive outdoor space in a location where neighbors will not be bothered by the noise of barking dogs. This traditionally meant that you have to drive out of city limits to find one. Our facility is nestled right into downtown Concordia for your convenience. Our facility stays relatively quiet compared to others because we have properly sound-proofed and also offer enrichment style daycare to our guests led by a professional dog trainer and behaviorist, and our trained staff. Enrichment daycare means that dogs are physically and mentally engaged all day, which prevents barking caused by boredom, anxiety, or stress.  Happy dogs are quiet dogs!

Safety: Being an all-indoor facility means that we don't have to worry about fence failures, gate escapes, digging under/climbing over fences, or escape artist pets getting lose outside and getting lost or injured like facilities with outdoor spaces do.  We have at least 2 doors(more in most cases) between each pet and the outside at all times, so the risk of accidental escape is virtually ZERO no matter what. Another safety benefit indoor facilities offer is a much more limited risk of disease and illness exposure.  Outdoor facilities can not control disease transmission to their yards as well as an indoor facility can.  You can not disinfect dirt. Creatures like birds, squirrels and other ground creatures make this virtually impossible to control.  Diseases like Giardia and Parvo can live in dirt for years, through all seasons. Indoor facilities are able to implement strict cleaning and disinfecting regimens(we even clean the air) and are able to disinfect every surface to better protect against these exposure threats and control the environment for your pet's safety. 

The weather: Outdoor doggy daycares have to contend with weather such as snow, rain, bitter cold or blazing heat. Not only is that hard on the staff to endure, it can be hard on or dangerous to your dog when weather is extreme. Accidents happen and quality of care can diminish when daycare staff are distracted or miserable due to being too hot or freezing cold. Being indoors, we are completely climate controlled year round. You never have to worry about your dog getting too cold or overheating, the staff being to uncomfortable to properly focus on your pet, nor do you have to worry about mud or wet/messy coats or feet due to rain or snow after a day of daycare play. We can have a full day of fun and play here everyday, rain or shine!

The biggest concern/question we get: Where do they potty?

We understand that is is a big concern for some and can create a lot of confusion or hesitation for owners who jump to conclusions or are mis-informed, so we would like to clear it up and explain it to you.

We have designed designated potty areas in every one of our play areas for this purpose. Each potty area is designed to look like your yard. Potty areas are designed with artificial turf(fake grass)-the same turf found in most outdoor doggy daycares! We routinely clean and disinfect the turf areas to prevent smell and fecal-borne disease transmission. Solids are picked up and properly disposed of, and liquids are rinsed. Once cleaned and disinfected, we treat the turf with an enzyme spray designed to signal to your dog that this is the correct place to eliminate. Under each of our potty area turfs are a raised grate system that supports the turf layer and keeps your pet's feet out the the fluids, as well as a floor drain for immediate elimination of any liquids. All your dog sees is that this is a grassy area to take care of business as usual. We have even instituted upright "markers" in these areas for visitors who prefer to lift a leg; in our case these are artificial trees that are also easily disinfected. This design makes frequent cleaning throughout the day quick and efficient and allows the turf to dry faster, keeping your pets feet clean and dry. 

In short, if your dog is used to doing their business in your yard or in an OUTDOOR doggy daycare yard, they will automatically understand the assignment when they are here with us and their potty habits at home with you will not be affected negatively in any way.
